HUBB Certification
In North Carolina, the HUB certification – Historically Underutilized Business certification – is given by the HUB Office to minority, women-owned, and small businesses. The aim is to help these businesses get more chances to work with the state government by offering goods and services.
To get HUB certified, businesses need to sign up on the Vendor Portal online and then apply for certification by providing more details about their company and submitting necessary documents. This certification encourages the use of HUB businesses when buying things or hiring services, including construction projects. It also keeps an eye on reporting to ensure businesses follow the rules set by North Carolina law.
To get started: check out the official NC DOA HUB Office website for all the information you need.
