Monday Mindset: Cycle of Socialization

This week, in our Monday Mindset podcast episode, Stephanie introduces the Bobbie Harro’s Cycle of Socialization concept that was very valuable to her time working with CORE – Community Organizing for Racial Equity.

This concept was introduced by Bobbie Harro, a social justice educator – who’s work is widely used in educational settings to help people understand issues privilege, oppression, and social justice.  You can read the article here: Cycle of Socialization HARRO.pdf (nea.org)

This Cycle of Socialization perspective is a key concept that we have adapted and use in our mindset shifting work at WEBB Squared – our mindset work is about transforming our belief systems as entrepreneurs, to make the unconscious mechanisms visible in our consciousness so we can make our best decisions from a perspective of mindfulness and empowerment.

As you listen this week, we leave you with a “Food for Thought” assignment:

This week:

#1 – Divide your life  into 5 to 10 chronological chapters.

#2 – Think on the most important important arcs that have shaped and defined you through these chapters.

As you do so, reflect on these questions:

How have these arcs created any particular beliefs and/or belief systems that you believe about yourself and your place in the world?

Have these arcs shaped any self-limiting beliefs that might be holding you back?

Thank you for listening!  Our next podcast conversation will be in two weeks.  Until then….”Our Evolution Begins with Dialogue!”

We’d love to know how you are and how we can assist in your business.  Please sign up on the links below to make an appointment!
